Our Love Story

Rocky and Jessica met in 6th grade at Benton Middle School (Benton, AR). As lab partners, Rocky remembers doing just about anything to make Jessica laugh. (It always worked!)

Throughout high school, they were friendly, but never dated.

Ten+ years later, in December 2015, they reconnected when Rocky moved back to Benton to spend time with family and work to save money for a move to Arizona. Jessica invited him over to catch up and watch one of her favorite movies, October Sky. (A must see for all space-lovers.) She thought they were just catching up. He is adamant that, “it was definitely a date”. They had a blast sharing stories and a lot of laughs. Before he left that evening, he kissed her for the first time.

They began spending more time together hiking, camping, stargazing, salsa dancing, pranking one other and exploring Arkansas. They both realized that what they had was very special.

Since then, they have gone on countless adventures, adopted their fur-baby Tank, and decided they want to spend the rest of their lives together.

Rocky proposed to Jessica on November 7, 2021 during a sunrise hike at Whitaker Point in Kingston, AR. Of course, she said Yes!
